Up until now Clockhouse Vets has always provided our own emergency out of hours service. It has become necessary for us to close the Stroud practice’s overnight service.
This decision has not been taken lightly, but we are committed to continuing to offer gold standard care for our patients and to offer the best veterinary care day provision in the area.
We will be passing the overnight on-call service to our partners, Chelvets in Cheltenham. This service has specially trained vets and nurses in emergency and critical care and is on-site all night.
Chelvets will look after the out-of-hours service Monday to Friday 8pm and 8am, Saturday 3pm to Sunday 10 am and Sunday 1pm to Monday 8am. This change will come into force on 4th September 2023.
Chelvets are based at The Dragon Vet Centre and their contact details and location is available here: www.dragonvet.co.uk/contact-us/emergencies-out-of-hours.
Change of opening hours
Due to this change, we will be extending our opening times on weekdays and adding Sunday and Bank Holiday consulting times in order to allow easy access to veterinary care across as many days of the week as possible
These changes will take effect from 4th September 2023.
Our new opening hours will be:
- Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm
- Saturday 8:30am to 3pm
- Sunday and Bank Holidays 10am to 1pm
